STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR

Thank you for your interest in Owls Head Montessori School. We welcome new families to our community! Admission to the School is a straightforward series of steps as outlined below.

1.  Call our office at 617.325.4058 to receive a complete and up-to-date information packet for your review.

2.  Participate in an Admissions Open House where prospective parents will meet with a representative of the School and listen to a brief description of Montessori philosophy and our program. Admissions Open Houses are held the third Wednesday of every month from October thru March. **Please Note: Following the final Open House on March 19, 2008, the headmaster is scheduling meetings and observations on an individual basis for the few enrollment spots still available for the 2008/2009 school year. See below for what a classroom observation entails and the rest of the admissions process. Please call the office directly to schedule your meeting and observation today!.**

3.  After you attend an Admissions Open House (or following March 19, 2008), schedule a classroom observation where you (without your child) will spend about 45 minutes observing actual classes in session.

4.  After the class observation, make an appointment for you and your child to visit the School. The appointment will last about 30 minutes. The child who is applying will be observed by the staff to determine the suitability of Owls Head for your child. These visits take place after school hours (6:15PM). You will receive an application for enrollment at this time.

5.  Complete the application and forward it to Owls Head Montessori. If our staff agrees, then a non-refundable deposit (applied to the last month’s tuition) is required. Your child is not considered enrolled in Owls Head Montessori until the School has received this deposit.

In its acceptance policies, Owls Head Montessori gives preference to siblings of current students, students transferring from other Montessori programs, and children between the ages of three and four years old. The School encourages racial, ethnic, religious, and economic diversity in our student population and we base our acceptances upon the appropriateness of the School for each individual student.

If you have any questions please contact us at 617.325.4058. Thank you again for your interest in Owls Head Montessori. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
